Registration was May 31st. They have now added more classes. One's a mini class on Thursday. No big deal. In theory everyone should be able to sign up for it. But then Donna Downey is now teaching a class. This would have been nice to know before registration. Because now if I decided I want her class I have to redo my entire schedule. However, her project, I think, will be somewhat similar to the Emily Falconbridge class I'm taking (both are canvas projects) so I would need to drop Emily. Also, it sounds as if the Donna project is going to kind of be like her BPS canvas that I did a while back. So I would be taking it only for her, not for the project.
And that's not all. They've now added an additional 1-day album track for $175. Album Track. Unfortunately it doesn't really have any info- who's teaching, sponsoring, etc. But again, would have been nice to know about this before registration. What about those people who have already bought plane tickets who might have been interested? However, I'm intrigued by the idea of having a separate album-track day. Anyone recognize the kids in the picture? Are they Lisa's kids?
And on a completely separate note, tonight we finally got the remainder of our crap out of the old apartment as well as did the cleaning. I was there for 5 hours! Ugh. It didn't look like there was that much there/ that much to do. Tomorrow I need to go back grab a couple of things that wouldn't fit in my car or Chris's truck, turn in the keys, and all that. Guess that's how I'll be spending my lunch break. Technically we need to be out at noon on Wednesday, but due to their hours I can't go before or after work, so Tuesday at lunch it is.

I cannot believe they sprung that on you. I do not believe those are Lisa's kids. It looks like all Karen Foster product so maybe that is who is doing the album? I would be kinda like what the as well! I love Donna Downey but the sounds of doing an EF class sounds great too! I think I would go with EFs but only cos I've taken DD before. Oh-the scrapbooking dilemma! Have fun moving your stuff out, at least that part will be over with!
umm yeah not happy....i just got the cku email about Masters...last Masters ever! Did I read that correctly?
I apparently didn't read clearly enough. Didn't catch the comment about last ever. Guess it's all part of their reformatting CKU. However, the buzz on the Yahoo board was that some of the classes were the same descriptions as were being offered at regular CKU. So why pay more for the same classes? Maybe getting rid of Masters will be good, unless they can keep up the quality. I think I like the concept of the added album track day, but it would have been better to know about it in advance.
I tried to reply yesterday - it wouldn't let me.
And I wish they updated this before registration. I'd love to take a DD class, plus there looks to be an open slot in case they want to add another class.
I'd also like to take Becky's miniclass, but it only let's you take 1 and I don't know if I want to give up my Bazzill one.
Decisions, Decisions.
Mel-i seriously would not take becky's mini class...you should of seen her album from albums-yuck!
Good to know!!!!
oh and you don't get much product from her either. you had to purchase more stuff yourself just to finish the album from chicago!
It looks like now you can sign up for both of them. I was able to do so.
I second what Christine said about BH's album. I was expecting much more from her album and was glad I didn't sign up for her track. I actually wasn't too thrilled with her make 'n take page either. Oh well. It sounds like they are scrambling to try out a new format. I would be pissed if I already had plane tix but you guys are in a great position if you can add on the day. I think albums was awesome so if you can do it - go for it! I'm not sure but if I had to guess I would say they are Donna Downey's kids??? Definitely not Lisa's. Good luck guys, I can't wait to hear how it is!
OK, I just read the album track description. That one was offered at Chicago I just can't remember who taught it. Not Donna Downey, though. I'll try to find my stuff from Chicago and see who taught it. It was my third choice (after Cathy and Ali so third is actually pretty good!)
